The Education of Girls Through the Eyes of Rwanda

On the same day that Malala Yousafzai was declared a joint winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, Upper School religion classes at Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart listened to twenty-three year old Nadine Niyitegeka share her story of faith and her work as a proponent of women’s education in Rwanda. Nadine, like Malala, the Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban for defending the right for education for girls, also is a survivor. [button wrap]More[/button wrap]
