Due to the ongoing insecurity and violence, we were forced to close our campus in Burundi, and could only transfer 44 out of our 150 students to our campus in Rwanda. It’s not possibly to predict when we can reopen. Our Burundi fund provides scholarship support to the transfer students.

The conflict

Nearly 250,000 refugees have fled and are living in refugee camps with minimal resources. Journalists and activists are being arbitrarily arrested and detained, tortured, and executed. The European Union and the United Nations have warned of the potential of genocide.
